Words vs actions.

I was scrolling down my instagram timeline this morning and I saw this girl posting a photo of Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. It was something about Johnny saying in an interview that he wouldn't know what he'd do without her AND that he would even die for Winona. When I read all the comments I saw that people commented like "aaaahww" or "perfffect!". But then I realized that their relationship only lasted for four years back then (so what he was saying was bull right?). I can't blame him tho, I see us doing it daily too. We can say "I love you" to others but do we really LOVE them? even when it gets hard?. I see many young people posting things on facebook or instagram with self-written poetries for their love, but within a couple of months they break up. There are alot of words coming out of our mouth but most of the time we don't even know what we're saying. I don't want to judge here because I've also said lots of things that I eventually didn't do.

I was reading the bible the other day and I felt that God pinched me and said: Hey this ones for you!! haha. James 2:17-19: "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." These verses are so powerful! Like I said I've been a christian for a couple of years now and all these years I've said "Lord I love you, everyday and today is yours" but they were empty talks. I still wanted to do what pleased ME instead of Him. Ofcourse, I believed in Him and I loved Him but I never showed Him in my DO's. God is the only one who SHOWS more than speaks more. I mean, He could just expose Himself right now, right? He could shout from heaven with a big loud voice and say "Look at me people, I excist.. I've been up here all the time, and yeah.. I love you!" He could, but He won't. His actions are showing us that He excist. He SHOWS us that He loves us every single day. Look at the sky, look at the trees, isn't it perfect? Isn't the oxygen you're breathing right now not enough prove that He wants to take care of you? Isn't the clothes you're wearing not enough prove that He provides? Isn't the cross not enough prove that He LOVES you? Let's start showing Him we love Him too. Not by our words but by our actions. If you're still doing things that are not okay, turn it up. If you really love Him you will sacrifice those things because you know it doesn't please Him. Love is a verb, it ain't a "thing". Love, Yin
